From Pastor Dan

CHURCH IS A PLACE........... where people do a lot of different things. You can sing and hear a message. You can make new friends and network with people You can bring your kids to quality programs where they are mentored and taught about God. You can get involved in community service. There are many wonderful things that happen around a church. But the Christian life, at its center, is about a relationship, not about a busy schedule. This is the most important thing we offer at Rosewood - an opportunity to connect with the living God! That's what worship is all about. On Sunday mornings, God is here, the grace of Jesus is available, and the Holy Spirit is beckoning you to seek God's face. Say "Yes" to God this Sunday. Join us for worship at Rosewood!

Sunday Morning Celebrations

Join us for either an early-morning or mid-morning worship time: the first begins at 8:30, and the second at 10:30. During every service we offer a full menu of group options for our children: Nursery care for infants through 2-year-olds, and "Promiseland" for Preschool through 8th graders in which we teach the "Walk With Me" program of Christian discipleship. After each service, we have an informal coffee time on the west lawn, where we mingle and get to know one another better.

Wednesday Night Ministries

The Rosewood Campus is bustling with activity on Wednesday night from September through May, as we offer our GEMS Club for girls in 1st-7th grades, our Cadets Club for boys in 2nd-6th grade, a Spanish-language Bible study for adults, a basic Bible study for Women, and nursery care/story time for young children. All activities take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

During five weeks of summer (from late June through July), we offer Summer Family Nights every Wednesday night for children through adults. Come check it out!

Spanish Speakers Invited

Rosewood's Hispanic Ministry offers a Spanish-language worship service in the Social Hall nearly every Sunday. On the last Sunday of the month (whether it's the 4th or 5th Sunday), we all worship together with Spanish translation through headsets and a multicultural emphasis.

Food Pantry Ministry

ROSEWOOD FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY
The Food Pantry is a growing ministry at Rosewood.

Every Friday, from 3-4 p.m. we distribute food to 20-30 families from the Bellflower School District. A Social Worker or Case Worker must refer all patrons of the Food Pantry from one of the schools in the District. If you do not have a child in school, you can contact the Thomas Jefferson School Case Worker to receive a referral slip. Their phone number is (562) 804-6521.

All food is packaged and canned. We don't receive fresh produce to be distributed on a regular basis, but sometimes we are fortunate enough to receive potatoes, lettuce and other fruits and vegetables. Donations are welcome, however we don't have the facilities to store anything perishable. Please call the Church Office if you would like to make a donation and we can give you the information as to when and where to deliver it.

The Food Pantry is open every Friday from 3-4 p.m. from September to June. We are closed the week of Thanksgiving and the 2 weeks between Christmas and New Years. For information regarding the summer schedule, you can contact the Church Office at (562) 804-4778.
